It is a prerequisite for the purchase of the services offered on this site that you read and accept the following Terms and Conditions set out below.

Your purchase of our services will imply that you have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions set out herein.

All services that are offered by our website may be charged for by a third party website and in such case would be subject to their own Terms and Conditions.

You may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership of any of our products, modified or unmodified. All services described have been properly evaluated and licensed by the appropriate entities.

BOOKINGS

A service will be considered booked when the request has been processed by e-mail, after payment of the deposit of 30% of the total value of the selected activity.

Rates are subject to change, and can only remain fixed when the total amount of the service is paid in full. Only in situations of force majeure, after prior communication with the client, the price may be modified or the service may be canceled, with the corresponding refunds being made.

All our services must be paid in full 30 days prior to the requested activity.

CANCELLATION AND CHANGE POLICY

- 90% refund: if the cancellation is notified in writing by email up to 30 days prior to the start of the service. The 10% retained is due to administrative costs.

- 50% refund: if the cancellation is notified in writing by email up to 20 days prior to the start of the service.

- 0% refund: if cancellation is notified in writing by email up to 15 days prior to the start of the service.

Discover Chalten reserves the right to cancel a service prior to the departure date for reasons of force majeure, unusual circumstances and situations beyond the control of our company, under the condition of a 100% refund of the payments and deposits made by the client. This refund will not give rise to any other claims or compensation. The client may choose between a full refund (minus 10% administrative costs) or a modification in the dates or itineraries offered by Discover Chalten, in which case it is subject to availability of dates or possible adjustments in the rates due to price differences in the selected itineraries.

ACTIVITIES ARE NOT SUSPENDED DUE TO BAD WEATHER.

It is important that clients wear the appropriate clothing for the activity. Appropriate footwear, waterproof and warm clothing. As well as the physical and mental capacity to be able to withstand prolonged activities under adverse conditions, without putting their physical integrity at risk. That is why we recommend that you choose activities under your own acceptable level of risk, without minimizing or disregarding warnings and recommendations from our company.

Cancellation during the activity

The excursion may be modified at any time if the guide considers that, due to weather conditions, terrain conditions, physical conditions of the group, or any other related danger, the safety of the original programme is being compromised. The Discover Chaltén Guide has the right to modify the itinerary if deemed necessary for the safety of the passengers, without penalty to Discover Chaltén.

Limitations of Liability

All services included in our programmes, which are not expressly provided by our company, including hotel accommodation, transportation, restaurants and other services, are purchased from independent suppliers that do not belong to Discover Chalten. For this reason, our company is not responsible for any inconvenience that may arise in the provision of such services. Although we make sure that our service providers are reliable and guarantee their services, in any of the above mentioned cases, it is the company that specifically provides the service that is responsible for it.

Discover Chalten is not responsible for injury or property damage due to force majeure, or circumstances beyond its control such as: environmental disasters, vehicle accidents, strikes, lack of or limited access to medical care in remote areas, alcohol or illegal drug use, food borne illness, criminal activity, failure of any means of transportation, terrorism, quarantine, civil unrest, government restrictions or regulations.

Assumption of Liability and Risk

When you purchase the services offered by Discover Chaltén, you will be asked to sign an Assumption of Responsibility and Risk Form. This form is sent by email at the moment of contracting our services and its acceptance is indispensable to be able to develop the activity.

Images

Discover Chaltén reserves the right to take photographs, film or record any of its excursions for promotional purposes. By purchasing our services, passengers allow their image to appear on our various promotional channels. Passengers who prefer not to have their image and/or voice used are asked to notify us prior to any activity.

The use, reproduction, distribution, publication, display, transmission or sale of any images, text, content or materials on this website without the prior written consent of Discover Chaltén is prohibited. Unauthorized use of any material on this website may violate copyright, trademark and other applicable laws. If you wish to use any material from this website, please do contact us for permission.

Discover Chaltén reserves the right to modify the above Terms and Conditions, so please review this document frequently.
